Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the games published under the Novalex label ("the Game", "we", "us") handle, and how. In this policy, "the Game" means whichever game published under the Novalex label you are using. It applies to the Game on all platforms where it is distributed (Google Play, Steam, itch.io, and desktop builds), with platform-specific differences noted where relevant.

Summary
The Game is a single-player, offline game. It has no user accounts and no login. It does not collect personal information, does not use advertising, and does not include any third-party analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Your game saves and settings stay on your device. The only information you might send to us is an optional feedback message that you choose to write and submit.
Information we handle
1. Data stored only on your device (we never receive it)
The Game stores the following locally on your device (in the app's private storage or your browser's local storage). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Game saves — your in-progress and archived games, including the in-game company name you enter.
- Settings — audio levels, accessibility (reduce-motion), UI scale, display-currency choice, chosen difficulty, window mode, and key bindings.
- A local gameplay log — anonymous per-turn game metrics (e.g. turn number, in-game currency, and progress counters) used for local diagnostics. On the Google Play and itch.io builds this log is local only. On the Steam build, a subset of these aggregate game statistics is sent to Steam (see §3).
You can delete this data at any time by deleting the Game's save files or clearing its app data, or by uninstalling the Game.
2. Feedback you choose to send us
The Game includes an optional feedback form. If — and only if — you type a message and press Send, the following is transmitted to us:
- the feedback text you wrote;
- the app version (e.g. "1.2.0"), the platform (e.g. "android"), and your interface language;
- a technical abuse-prevention key and a development-mode flag.
Please do not include personal information (such as your real name, email, or address) in the feedback text — it is not required, and we do not ask for it.
- Purpose: to understand and fix problems and improve the Game.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in receiving voluntary feedback you have chosen to send (Swiss FADP; and, for users in the EU/EEA, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Where it goes: the message is delivered to a Google Apps Script / Google Sheets endpoint that we operate, hosted by Google. Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider. Server-side abuse controls (rate limiting, length limits) apply.
- Retention: we keep feedback only as long as needed to act on it, and delete it when no longer useful.
3. Steam version only — game statistics and achievements
If you play the Game through the Steam client, the Game uses Valve's Steamworks service to record achievement unlocks and a set of aggregate game statistics (the same kind of anonymous game metrics as the local log in §1), tied to your Steam account by Steam. It may also, only when you explicitly press the in-game capture button, save a screenshot to your Steam library.
This applies only to the Steam build. The Google Play and itch.io builds do not include Steam integration. Your use of Steam is also governed by Valve's Privacy Policy.
What we do NOT collect
We want to be explicit. The Game does not collect, request, or transmit any of the following:
- Real name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Precise or approximate location / GPS / IP-based geolocation
- Device identifiers, hardware IDs, or an advertising ID (IDFA / Android Advertising ID)
- Contacts, photos, calendar, files, microphone, or camera data
- Any biometric, financial, or health data
- Browsing history or cross-app tracking
The Game contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, ad networks, or similar).
Third parties
- Google — as the distributor of the Google Play version, and as the host/processor of the optional feedback endpoint (§2). Google's own data handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Valve / Steam — only for the Steam version (§3).
We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.
Children
The Game is a single-player game not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the Game collects no personal information by default, it is suitable for a general audience; the final age rating is set by the platform's content-rating system.
Your rights (Switzerland — FADP; EU/EEA — GDPR)
Because we normally hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access, correct, or delete. Where we do process data you sent us (feedback, §2), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to that processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at studios.novalex@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the message. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, if you are in the EU/EEA, your local data-protection authority.
Security
Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own operating-system protections. Feedback is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
